And just a stone’s throw away, they’re finishing up construction on the new Walmart, which means in the near future, you’ll be able to go from buying frozen waffles straight to getting your blood pressure checked… which honestly feels like a smart combo with the traffic building up around here.
The new ER comes fully loaded with 11 private treatment rooms, on-site labs, and all the emergency bells and whistles—but without the full hospital chaos. It’s designed to handle everything from mystery fevers to Florida-style home improvement injuries. You know the ones.
And let’s talk about that location. We’re not saying things are getting crowded, but between the new neighborhoods, the future mega-Walmart, and now this ER… you might want to leave early just to make a right turn on 41.
Still, for a growing community like ours, having top-tier emergency care right here in Apollo Beach is a win. Because when something goes wrong, the last thing you want is a 45-minute drive up I-75.
So while Walmart’s not open yet, the ER is.
